Triadic Enneagram Test Statistics

These statistics are here partly for curiosity's sake and primarily to gather data for improving the accuracy of this test. If you haven't taken the test yet, go and take it before scolling all the way down. The bottom part of this page reveals what each question is testing for, and that may unduly influence how you answer the questions. After taking the test, you are welcome to examine all the statistics and offer suggestions for future questions by email, especially if you are already familiar with the theories behind the test. I think this test will ultimately become more balanced and accurate if not all questions are written by a single 5w4.

These correlations are a measure of how accurate the test is. A multi-digit number indicates a tied score. Due to the possibility of tied scores, this table has rows only for the types people have actually scored as. The question mark in the left column means that a person reported his/her Enneagram type as Unknown.

General Accuracy: 45.76%

The General Accuracy is calculated by adding up the points scored for the types people reported themselves as, then dividing it by the highest possible point value and multiplying by 100. The Bull-eye Accuracy measures the percentage of direct hits. A random number generator, such as rand(1,9) would have a Bulls-eye rating of 1 in 9, which is 11.11%. Since General Accuracy is a measure of how many questions a person answers in favor of his type, and each question has three answers, pure chance would have a General Accuracy of 1 in 3, which is 33.33%. Anything significantly better than these is a good sign. The weighted accuracy scores are more accurate. These are calculated by calculating and summing scores for each type individually, then dividing by nine. This gives equal weight to each type even when unequal numbers of each type take the test.

These are the statistics that will be most directly used for improving the accuracy of the test. The preceding statistics have been more a matter of curiosity value. These results are arranged in the standard order for the questions, not the randomized order you may have taken the test in. The accuracy for each question is calculated by dividing the number of matches by the total number of answers given, excluding answers given by those who didn't report an Enneagram type. Pure chance should have an accuracy of 33.33% on each question. First, the question is listed, then how people answer the question according to their reported types, then how they answered the questions according to scored types.
